The E9-1-1 database provides Automatic Location Information (ALI) to the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) when someone dials 9-1-1 from a private switch or Centrex station. For private switch customers, the service provides the most current address and location information for stations that operate behind the switch. For Centrex customers, the service allows you to identify the physical location of stations in the database.

Requirements:

For the system to operate, the customer must have a private switch (PBX) or Centrex business phone system. The customer is responsible for building the initial database and updating the database on a going forward basis to reflect move, add, change (MAC) activity. An AT&T services team can perform station reviews and build the initial database for an added fee in some areas.
